Welcome to W.O.W. - Women's Ministries!

Thank you for visiting our site.  You will find the calendar of events such as Bible Studies, Conferences, MOPS, and other opportunities for fellowship.  Our mission is spiritual growth, relationship with God and one another.

We seek to provide functions where women from all seasons and situations of life can find opportunities to gain knowledge, be encouraged in their walk with the Lord, and be equipped for service in the furthering of His Kingdom.

What is W.O.W.? The name "Women of the Word" was prayerfully chosen because the foundation of Women's Ministries is the Word of God. As women serving our LORD and other women, we seek to be Women of the Word.  That is our heart, passion and purpose.

To - "...be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither;" Psalm 1:3

ONE in a Million”

Journey to the Promised Land
By Priscilla Shirer
Cost: $16

Childcare for nursery age children (currently no home school supervision)

Monday Evenings: January 18th _  March 1st 2010

Join us with Priscilla Shirer’s new study on an exploration of the Israelites’ journey from Egypt to a land of deliverance. Last day for "One" is Feb. 25. We will be having a Potluck Fellowship on that day. Please plan to join us and bring your favorite dish to share.

Women's Retreat

Silver Spur

May 14-15, 2010

"Newcycled Life: From Feelings to Faith"

"And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away. But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved."
~Hebrews 10:38-39 NLT

How often we women cling to the past!  We find it impossible to let go of the things that have hurt us, people that have wronged us, and negative incidents that have assailed us.  We attempt to get over these memories and move past them, only to return during a low point or a time when we allow our raw and vulnerable emotions to resurface again and again.  The moving-on cycle becomes one step forward , two steps back, as we continually resort to incorporating old pains and regrets into our current walk with Christ.  We live the excuses of “but…” and “if only…”, letting our history of hurt overpower each new day.

Through Christ, we are free to quit recycling the guilt, shame, and misery.  Christ has truly done the work to make us new!  By living the NewCycled Life Christ intended, we never have to return to the things from which He has set us free, to what we have already given over to Him.  Come live the NewCycled Life…and become the new creation Christ intended.
